I love to write. I love to surf. I love beauty and fashion. So when I saw an opportunity to collaborate with the premier women's surf/style magazine I went for it!  I have been working as the beauty editor for Women's Surf and Style Magazine for one year now and love it!  I am able to combine my love for all of the above together and give back with expression and advise on helpful beauty tips to the masses. This magazine is bi-annual and sold in Barnes and Nobels, Borders, Books-a-Million and Hollister all over North America and Europe.  The team behind the magazine are as awesome as the magazine it self.

CARLY AND I MET WHEN I WAS ON TOUR WITH AMERICAN IDOL DOING THE MAKEUP FOR THE TOP 10 FINALIST.  CARLY IS NOW THE FRONT SINGER IN THE BAND "WE ARE THE FALLEN"  . I AM NOT ONLY PROUD TO HAVE HER AS DEAR FRIEND BUT ALSO SO GRATEFUL THAT WE HAVE OPPORTUNITIES TO WORK TOGETHER AND CREATE, SOMETHING WE BOTH LOVE TO DO! Most who know me know that I am a devoted lover of football and the Spaniards are my team.  I am SO proud of their journey these last 4 years, watching them climb to so many victories, becoming the Euro Cup Champions and now sweeping the world for the very first time in history as the World Cup 2010 Champions!  ~Football is truly the window to the world~
The next world cup will be in Brasil and there is NO WAY I will not be present for that party... Im samba'ing at the thought of it!

PERFORM BEAUTIFULLY WITH OAKLEY

I was really stoked to collaborate with Oakley's awesome team for their new ad campaign "Perform Beautifully".  As a LONG time surfer and having so many of my friends who ride on Oakley's team, it was easy for me to fit in with their vibe, that created the feeling that I have been working them with for years...  

We had many, MANY laughs while fighting the gale force winds on the cliffs of San Diego under the sun...  Katrina Hodgens is a serious fitness expert with a beautiful spirit and fantastic sense of humor. We knew when we both pulled avocados out of our bags (never go to a shoot with out one!) that we were going to be great friends :)  She and her partner Karina of TONEITUP!  are the queens of fitness on youtube with tons of clever fitness ideas and delicious health information- check them out and get hooked!

SHOOT WITH ERIK ALMAS

My favorite shoots are ones where I get to work with my talented friends and meet new ones as well.

This was the case when shooting with my friend and amazing photographer Erik Almas for The Ritz Carlton last week.  We shot on the floor of the Staples Center (GO LAKERS!) and the beautiful stage of the Nokia theater.  The whole crew was AMAZING. We laughed the whole time we created...
